Exterior Painting in Kansas City, KS

Before any prep or painting, the crew lays drop cloths over landscaping beds, covers outdoor furniture, and masks windows, light fixtures, and hardware. Driveways and walkways are protected from drips and debris, and the site is swept and organized at the end of every working day.

Stone works primarily with Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore exterior lines. The specific product depends on the surface material, the exposure (south-facing walls take more UV than north-facing), and your goals for longevity. Stone recommends the product that fits your home, not the one with the highest margin.

The written warranty covers defects in workmanship: peeling, flaking, or adhesion failure caused by the application. It does not cover normal weathering, physical damage, or substrate failure that was outside the original scope. If a covered issue shows up, Stone returns and fixes it at no charge.

Yes. Stone gives color guidance based on KC-area experience, neighborhood context, and your home's architecture, and can work within any neighborhood or historic-district guidelines that apply to your Kansas City home. Leo and the team can also suggest accent and trim combinations that fit the home's features.

Move patio furniture, grills, and potted plants a few feet off the house, and trim any vegetation that touches or hangs over the siding. Note any areas of concern you want looked at. Stone handles the rest: masking, drop cloths, surface prep, and the repairs named in your written scope.

You walk every painted surface with the Stone team. Anything that needs attention, a touch-up, an edge, a missed spot, gets handled before you pay the remaining 75%. The 5-year written workmanship warranty begins the day you approve the finished work.
